Government Guidance on returning to work – Close contact services – 14th July 2020

The announcement by the Government on the 9th July included a statement detailing how further lockdown restrictions are to be eased. Oliver Dowden, Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Secretary stated

“Having allowed hairdressers to reopen, beauticians, tattooists, spas, tanning salons and other close-contact services can now do the same I’m pleased to say from Monday. Of course, that will be subject to some restrictions on particularly high-risk services.”

The Governments guidance for Close Contact Services, notes that:
All services .. (including beauty, wellbeing and holistic services) .. may open from the 13 July 2020 but excluding any services in the highest risk zone. High Risk Zones have been defined as ‘The area in front of the face where splashes and droplets from the nose and mouth may be present, which can pose a hazard.’

It should be noted that the information provided above is our full guidance on the issue and unfortunately contacting the office, will not provide any further clarity for you. We are still providing a more limited service during this time, and your support with this is appreciated.

We will continue to monitor the situation and update our website accordingly.
